PERNELL SCREEN TIME: A pitiful four minutes.
SYNOPSIS: These shows were all the rage back in the 80s. Stars from various shows would train in a circus stunt, of some sort, and then be filmed for the special.
A barefoot Pernell gets to play with a samuri sword, water melon and a few cucumbers. In other words, he slices them up. He also karate chops four layers of burning wood, uses each elbow on a few more pieces and generally appears to be having fun.
He's wearing a karate ensemble, including a black belt and the bandana, looks very similiar to the ones he wore in Bonanza. |
